Day buses and the Nitbus
The bus is slower than the metro but shows the city through the window, and at night the Nitbus network keeps Barcelona connected while the metro sleeps.
The buses a visitor needs
The hill lines — Paral·lel and the ones climbing Montjuïc and Tibidabo — reach where the metro doesn't. The seafront buses stitch port, beaches and Fòrum with free views.
The Nitbus
When the metro closes, the night network leaves plaça Catalunya toward the whole city every half hour: it's the Barcelona night's plan B and works better than its reputation.
Paying and stopping
Same ticket as the metro, same card, validation on boarding. Press the stop button in time: buses don't brake if nobody asks and nobody waits.
