Bikes and scooters

Barcelona is flat, compact and threaded with continuous bike lanes: two wheels are serious transport here, not a Sunday toy.

Hourly or daily rental

Rental shops cover the center and the seafront, with rates that drop for full days. The port-to-Fòrum ride is the obvious route; for the old town, walk: the cobblestones forgive no wheel.

Shared scooters

Several scooter operators and some shared bikes work by app across the city, parking in signed zones. Wear a helmet if you go fast and stay off the sidewalk: the fine is real.

The golden lane rule

The bike lane is for bikes and scooters; the sidewalk for pedestrians; the promenade shared, calmly. The red Bicing is residents-only: as a visitor, private rental or app scooter.
